Level Ups! Part 2: Freddy Fazbear Surprise Birthday Cake!

Hello there everyone! Long time no speak!

So I recently turned 30 and one of my closest friends made me a surprise birthday cake. I figured it may have been something to do with either The Walking Dead or Pirates Of The Caribbean, as they are both foundations of what got us talking at first & we have some memories regarding the two franchises.

Turns out I was wrong! The cake was themed around a character from a popular horror game, Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights At Freddy's.

Five Nights At Freddy's is a horror game series created by Scott Cawthon. The first game was made back in 2014. I don't know much about the later games in the series but in the earlier games you play as a stationary night security guard in a children's pizzeria. In the pizzeria there are animatronic animals that come alive at night and try and get you, with freddy fazbear being one of the animatronics.

As the security guard you cannot physically protect yourself, you can only watch surveillance cameras and control electronic doors to keep out the wondering animatronics. It sounds simple but you have a limited amount of power that allows you to use these facilities and once the power runs out, you're done for!

As the title suggests you have to survive five nights, with each night more harder than the last. I think you have to last from midnight to 6am, at least in the first game you do.

Now I'll confess I have only ever played the first game once and that was just for the first night. Although in the future me and my friend are going to tackle the games, as I found out that they are all available on the PlayStation store! Before they were only really PC games.

I mainly watched the youtuber Markiplier play the games but with the next generation of consoles from Xbox & PlayStation coming soon, a brand new FNAF game has been made for them! I'll leave the trailer below!

So yes anyway, I've been a fan of the franchise since the first game and I like the unique characters. I have a few of them as the funko pop vinyl figures, which gave me a couple of more ideas for my level ups feature. But receiving this amazing cake just makes me want to act on it more and make my idea a reality, hopefully before Halloween as there is no better time to do a horror inspired post.

I still find it hard to describe how blown away I was with the cake with how good it looked and how good it tasted! I ended up having three cakes for my birthday so I've been dining on cake up until today as I finished the last slice of the last cake.

How amazing does Freddy look?!

I was blown away when I finally got to see, remember this was a surprise cake!

We had a nice night all in all, we watched Coraline & we made a mega cheesesteak sandwich with the addition of streaky bacon for a change.

So that's it from me for this post, it is a bit of a different one being I never made the cake but its a tribute to a wonderful talent and a wonderful friend.

Hopefully there will be more five nights at freddy's themed content soon, with some more spooky & scary references coming up.

As well as the backlog of posts that I need to write up and post.

Thankyou and speak soon guys & girls.
